Client reports
Give a client a live page with their website's latest results, and email it to them every week and month under your brand. No account, no costs shown, no work for you once it's set up.
Clients stay with an agency they can see working. A client report shows them, in your brand, what went live and what moved, without you building a slide deck each month. You set it up once per website and it keeps itself current.
Why it's useful
- Proof of work, on autopilot. The page always shows the latest results, and the emails go out on their own every week and month.
- Your brand, not ours. Your logo or name, your color, your address and your reply-to email. Nothing on the page or in the emails carries a Zivooo mark.
- Nothing private leaks. Clients never see your costs, your keys, your dashboard or your other clients.
- A reason to talk. Every page ends with Questions? and your reply-to email, so a client who reads it can answer you directly.
How it works
- 1You make a share link for one of the client's two reports: weekly or monthly.
- 2The client opens it any time, with no account. The page reads the website's latest results each time it opens, so the same link stays current.
- 3Optionally, you add the client as a report recipient. They then get each report by email, with a button to the page.
- 4You see how many times the link was opened, so you know it's being read.
The two reports
| Report | What the client sees | How often it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly report | How the website shows up in AI answers and Google, week by week: how often AI answers name the brand, ranking moves, and the questions where a competitor is named instead. | A new report every Monday |
| Monthly progress | The last 28 days: new articles (each listed, with a link to the live page), new backlinks, wins in Google and articles climbing in Google. | Always the latest 28 days |
1. Make a share link
- 1Switch to the client's website in the site menu at the top of the dashboard.
- 2Open Weekly Reports in the sidebar.
- 3In the Share with clients card, click Make a share link next to Weekly report or Monthly progress. The link is copied for you.
- 4Paste it into an email or chat to your client.
To get the link again, click Copy link. Open or save as PDF opens the page as your client sees it, so you can check it before you send it.
2. Email it to the client (optional)
Report recipients get the reports by email without opening the dashboard or keeping the link. Each website can have up to 10.
- 1On Weekly Reports, in the Share with clients card, under Report recipients, click Add recipients (or Edit recipients).
- 2Type the email addresses, one per line or separated by commas.
- 3Click Save. If the website had no share links yet, both are turned on, so every email can link to the full report.
| When it's sent | |
|---|---|
| Weekly report | Every Monday, once that week's report is ready. |
| Monthly progress | Every 28 days, counted from when the website was added. It's skipped when there's nothing new to report. |
Each email shows your brand name as the sender and replies go to your reply-to email. It has a button to the shared page and never shows costs or links into your dashboard.
What your client sees
Both pages open with your logo or brand name, a title like How example.com shows up in AI answers and Google, the website and the period covered. They end with Prepared by your brand name, Questions? with your reply-to email, and your business address.
- Weekly report: a summary across recent weeks, then each week's report. The latest is open; older weeks open with a click.
- Monthly progress: three key figures (new articles, new backlinks, wins in Google), the articles published in the period with links to them, what moved, and the articles climbing in Google.
- Before the first report: the weekly page says the first report is on its way and names the date of the next one. The client doesn't need a new link: the same page fills in.
- Save as PDF: a button at the top opens the browser's print dialog. Choosing Save as PDF there gives a clean file for a monthly pack, without the buttons.
Set your brand on Settings → Branding before you share anything: the logo, color, reply-to email and business address all appear on these pages. See Your brand.
3. See that it's read
Each link in the Share with clients card shows when it was turned on and how many times it was opened. Only people outside your account count: opening the link yourself, a teammate opening it, or a chat app like Slack showing a preview of it never adds a view. A rising count means your client is reading it.
Turning a link off
- 1Click Turn off next to the link.
- 2Confirm. Anyone who has the link now sees that it no longer works.
- 3To share again, click Make a share link. The new link is different, and the old one stays off.
Turn links off when a client relationship ends. If recipients are set and the link is off, their emails go without the button to the page until you make a new link.
Unsubscribing
Every recipient has their own Unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email. It opens a page in your brand asking Stop these emails?; nothing changes until they click Unsubscribe, so a mail scanner that follows links can't unsubscribe anyone by accident.
Once someone unsubscribes, they stop getting this website's report emails, and you can't add that address back from the dashboard. Only add people who expect these emails.
Questions
Does my client need an account?
No. The page opens with the link alone, and report emails need nothing but an email address.
Can the client see other websites or my costs?
No. A link shows only the one website it was made for, and never a cost, a key or a link into your dashboard.
Will search engines find the page?
No. Shared pages ask search engines not to index them, and the link is long and random. Anyone holding it can open it, though, so turn it off when you stop working together.
Why doesn't my reply-to email show on the page?
The Questions? line appears only when a reply-to email is saved on Settings → Branding. Add one and it shows on every client page.
Do reports cost anything on my keys?
No. Share links and report emails don't run on your keys and don't count toward fair use.
